“Teddy, our 7 year old English Springer Spaniel had a 2.5 week holiday at the Retreat whilst we were away. I cannot rate it highly enough, from making him feel comfortable and part of the family to keeping him active with daily activities. We were kept up to date on how he was doing with pictures and videos. Teddy enjoyed it so much I am not sure he wanted to come home! Highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.”

We booked Betsy’s very last minute after an issue with the kennels we had booked our dog into. From booking to our Lola going to stay with Betsy’s nothing was too much trouble. We have had daily updates on how Lola was doing and what she had been up to which was fab as we could see how happy she was. Betsy’s looked after Lola like she was part of there family and not just a dog being home boarded she was spoilt and treated like she was there dog. If I could give Betsy’s more than 5*s I 100% would as she deserves it. If you are thinking about putting your dog into home boarding choose this lady who goes above and beyond to make your family dog feel special.

Katie & Betsy are fantastic, after a few play days our nervous cocker Mabel fell in love (especially)with Betsy & found her new happy place..We felt so confident leaving Mabel for home boarding, knowing she’d be loved safe & cared for so well. It gave us great peace of mind while we went away.

Katie is a genuine dog loving professional lady. We had great communication’s with her throughout and prior to our boarding placement.

Katie sent us lots of videos photos & voice messages updates, keeping us informed at all times.

We had such a great experience with Betsy’s Pawtastic Retreat. This was the first time I had left Reggie, so I was a bit nervous, but Katie was brilliant and reassuring from the start.

We received daily picture and video updates, which really helped put our minds at ease. I was unsure how Reggie would be around other dogs, but seeing him mixing so well and enjoying himself was brilliant.

Katie truly went above and beyond, even arranging pick-up and drop-off, which made everything so much easier for us. Reggie came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for.

Why Betsy’s started

Betsy’s Pawtastic Retreat opened in September 2025. In August 2026, one of our customers nominated us for a Pet Industry Business Award.
